Since yesturday,I've been thinking of some fun little project. Since I have the sugary carnival special set and no longer want it, for some odd reason I want to make a miniature version for my minifee Miyu. Not sure how this came to mind lol

After googling and such I was thinking of getting a file of the SC print and doing the printing myself, but 1.) I don't know how to screen print and 2.)There are too many colors, so its a given I'll fuck up. So I'm thinking of sending it to Spoonflower, but when I found this review on EGL and this one, I'm not so sure. The color difference is bugging me and since SC has so many colors this will be sadly apparent. And the 60 x 60 thread is....no. I can ofer a sample to see if I'd like it. They offer Bamboo-Cotton Rayon thats 100 x 70, but I'm not a seamstress, so I don't know how much better will that be. Sugary carnival is pretty thin, but I want Miyu's dress to either match that thinness or be thicker. I could line it....

My plan:

1.) Finish photoshopping the SC print. I'm using the AP coloring book cover and I have to shop out the "AP coloring book" logo. Then I'll have to shrink the file then lengthen the canes....or maybe not? The main print body is about from under the bust to the knees with the pony boarder print being around say 6 - 8 inches. I really wouldn't know the measurements of the pony boarder print seeing as I have the special set. So.... for miyu from the underbust to the knees thats like 7 inches, or 17 cm...so the boarder print would have to be like....2 inches?

2.) Ask a loli seamstress much many yards of fabric I'd need to make a JSK for a BJD. In the first review, the girl ordered 2 pieces os 3 yard fabric and make bags. In the 3rd review, the girl order 3 yards. So....may be order 1 yard? 2 yards?

EDIT: Actually I want to make Miyu the JSK, skirt, an OP and the alice and special set bow. Then I'll make her a tote bag based on the real bag, and some socks. Since I don't have a file of the marshmallow socks, it'll just the be canes.

3.) Have Spoonflower make the fabric. I wish I knew of a different service, but hey.

4.) Ask a loli seamstress to make the JSK. Again I was thinking of doing it myself, but I don't sew clothes so its a given I'll fuck up lol S I guess I would send the fabric, lace, measurements of the doll, and some ref pic of SC. I was thinking of asking someone of DOA, but I'd feel more safe with someone familiar with the lolita look.

EDIT: I also intend to make a twinkle mermaid, ballerina print, and crown trump JSKs n stuff. I've also stolen found some lolita prints off the web and will make her some stuff outta that. One looks like the iron gate print!

Ever since I've gotten into lolita, I've been obsessed with macarons! First I thought Minnesota was too lame to have macarons (lawlwut). Through googling, I found Patrick's cafe. Then there was this post about macarons on EGL. Then theres the Sweetsbakeshop on St. Paul. I think I'm going to make a list of places that sell macarons.


Patrick's Bakery and Cafe: Found after googling. The flavors I've seen so far are blueberry, mango, lemon, pistachio rasberry, chocolate, and may be some others. They are have sizes a big one that you need 2 hands for and a bitesize verison. Each costs $2. I've tasted all the flavors so far. First I though they were the holy grail of macarons, like all macarons tasted like this. But after eating other shop's macarons, there are the worst tasting (wow that sounded harsh). The hard shell is much to prone to breaking and exploding, because of the amount of space between the chewy center. The chewy center is...lacking. There is a big amount of space between the shell and center. They also are TOO sweet. Like...idk, just way too sweet for my tastes. They seem to be kinda stale also. May be its due to the amount of space in between. It doesn't taste that good overall. I don't think I'll ever come back there.

Trader Joe's: Found after reading this egl post. THey are the best deal. 12 for $4.99! Now for mass produced macarons, they are pretty good. It has 2 flavors, vanilla and chocolate. They aren't as sweet as Patrick's which is a plus. The shell isn't as fragile, and there isn't this big space between the shell and chewy center. Its also bit size so I can just keep eating them lol These are my 2nd fav so far.

Sweets Bakeshop: Found through goolging. They also sell their macarons at the Local D'lish on Wednesday. The flavor they have are banana, bourbon caramel, chile pepper (wait, what?), chocolate, lavender caramel, mango, mint basil, mocha, rum caramel, salted caramel, sweets, turtle, vanilla bean. Each costs $1 HOLY CRAP THEMS BE MACRONS. I tried their salted caramel, and holt shit it is tasty. It tastes just like sea salt ice cream!! This is FUCKING SUPERIOR to Patick's! It tastes fresh! The shell and chewy center is closer and just.....god, they are goooood. My favorite so far.

Obento Ya I hear they have green tea macarons her. Well, I obviously can't go there just for macarons. Hope their food is good so I can get a chance to tastes them.

Salty Tart: In the Global Market. I've never seen any macarons at this place...hmm. Well, can't comment on this one.

So I've had my minifee lishe since like march. I've always planned getting a second one, a minifee miyu. I didn't wanna order through fairyland because I prefer to geet bjds second hand. I've been stalking the den of angels market place for a while, its hard getting a complete doll because she seems to be popular. So I thought" Oh well, I'll just get a body and miyu head" and lo and behold, I found both! But the miyu head is blank, so I'll send it off to a faceup artist soon after.

My perspective of burando = expensive has changed. I used to not want any brand and I felt like I was mostly paying for the label. I was more comfortable buying replicas of something from quiteland and whatnot. I still think that partly true, especially with the damn plastic jewelry for $40 and Jesus Diamante.

With the recent discussion about brand being expensive I got a little bit more insight as to why. I already knew about high quality materials, small business etc. but I didn't know about this... I know jackshit about production costs.

I never check brand websites because I'm usually trying to find a good deal on the egl comm sales. I mean w/ like offbrand and bodyline n stuff, you are getting better deals. (especially bodyline. Damn DHL) But when trying to find a rare print or AP.....

I recently made a wishlist of at least one brand JSK from AP, BTSSB (and usakumya bag), and Meta. I want Sugary Carnival, or Memorial Cake, Circus Tutu, and just something from Meta....yeahh, the rare prints XD So looking in yahoo japan auctions and mbok, I surprisingly found good deals!!!

The cheapest I found the memorial cake jsk going for was 18000 en on mbok, but I was outbidded. Found the two circus tutus for around that same price on yahoo, starting prices were 5000 and 3000 en Didn't bid on it though. Now with Sugary Carnival, I've only been able to find the special set at a good price. The one without horses. The rest are your typical scalped up prices. I've found two, one on yahoo,and the other on mbok, Starting prices like 25000 en and like 19500 en. Wow. I know that since they are w/o horses, that playing a role, but still.

This got me thinking. Scalpers really skewed why I thought brand was expensive. There was a resent sale of the black SC for $500 and the blk Miracle Candy OP for $350. Someone is (trying) is sell a pink OP for $800</a> Her justification was:

"Sugary Carnival is super hard to find and goes for a lot in the Japan secondhand Lolita stores it goes for almost 60,000+ yen. So that's why the price is high."

In other words, "since others have scalped up the price, so can I". GTFO.

With rare prints/ AP prints, it like some people reserve them just to scalp the price :/ Like with the new melty chocolate.......With popular/rare prints, I feel people should just to auctions for OP's, JSK, and skirts like this:

Set the price lower than what you paid. The time left should be 2-6 days. Let the buyer(s) determine the price. In the end, you should really just wish to get back the money you paid for + a little more :/ You should be all greedy n shit and want $300+ what you paid. Its obvious the price will be a little more than what you paid. I've sen this done with the aforementioned yahoo/mbok deals. I just really wish everyone would follow ;/

See now, I usually avoid social events like the bubonic plague because 1.) I'm an introvert and 2.)I act like a social retard at said events. Just standing line at first avenue was nerve-racking for me. I wish I had gone with someone, but I don't know anybody that like Nekromantix....I probably should've asked.

When I got inside, I looked around the place like a kid at the museum. To cope with being here for the first time....I went to the bathroom. I looked at my ticket and realized that though the doors opened at 8:00pm, the concert would start around 9:30....seeing as I couldn't drink, and had no friends....I just stood on the balcony until then.

Then it was starting. It was a little unreal seeing Kim perform at first...then I was dancing a little her and there lol but then some people were moshing (namely young) and I SWORE I saw ICE MOSHING. I'm still not sure if it was really her or not....cause I didn't see her again since she's so short..It was funny, because the band STARTED TO PLAY BILLIE JEAN LMAO. But then Kim wrote it off as "Nah just kidding" LOL. But I think he was showing that he also loved Michael, as was paying like tribute to him. AWWWWWWW

I fucking love Nekromantix. I fucking love Psychobilly. I usually don't like saying my absolute favorite band because I know so many that I can't choose...but I seriously think that Nekromantix and Horrorpops are my favorite bands ever.

...Sometimes I feel like a lonely little child. And it is based on the truth... I don't have that many friends. I go places by myself (movies, restaurants, shopping, etc), and don't talk a lot. But its like I've been doing it for so long that I can't break the cycle. Its like I'm torn between staying the loner I am, and breaking outta my shell. But the former always wins....because I have a hard time trusting people, and I HATE that awkward feeling of meeting new people, that I just avoid meeting people...

I swear only like drugs or alcohol is gonna help break free of this. I swear. But I'm afraid that I may abuse alcohol, to take out my repressed emotions....

What annoys me is when people can't leave feedback. How hard is it to write sometimes at least 3 sentences long?

God I hate kids. They're too hyper, and whenever they run, the one place they don't look is IN FRONT OF THEM.

But my hatred usually originates from the parent, who can't control their little bastards! They let their kid run wild, and they sound too passive when trying to control them "Sweetie, come over here!" Spanking needs to done, and an aggressive voice needs to be used.


Also, I can't stand it whenever my little sister's friend comes over. SHE HAS BEEN DOING THIS EVERY SATURDAY FOR YEARS. Her voice is annoying, she giggles at every retarded thing, and they now have a little routine I've memorized. Why doesn't my sis go over her house for a change? What makes our house so damn special?

After thinking this over for YEARS (my infatuation w/ BJD has waxed and weaned over the years), I have decided to get a Minifee Lishe (link) on my birthday, as a present to myself. I wasn't so sure which doll to get. It was between these dolls originally:

*Delf Lishe (pic really doesn't do her justice): She has been my dream doll for a LONNG time. I fell IN LOVE with the face mold, because it was very sexy looking, with a devious smile, and yet with the right faceup she can look very innocent. But when I saw the Minifee version, I loved that version WAYY more. There is a difference between the 60 and 45cm version that seems subtle enough... I will probably end up getting the Delf version.

*Bobobie sprite: I really like the different skin colors Bobobie has. I really want the blue, pink, and purple sprites, and have fantasy characters for them. But, I since these are cheap, I can get them whenever, but will definitely get them.

*Angel of Dream Lan: I feel in love with the face mold, probably because it slightly reminded me of the lishe mold, but upon finding more pics of Lan, I really didn't like the face mold. I don't think I'll ever want her.

*Angel of Dream Qian: I REALLLY like the face mold! It was hard to decided between my dream doll and her....REALLY HARD. But, it I had already planned what clothes and wigs n such I was getting w/ Lishe that I didn't want to go through that for Qian. But Qian will definitely be the 2nd doll I get. Now what skin tone to get....


I'm also planning to do my own faceup on Lishe..@_@ My very first faceup...nervous..I'm not even sure how I want her faceup to be!! buying a ton of supplies from VOLKS USA just to make sure I don't forget anything, but I know I will. I know....-_- gonna have to order something off the net...have to wait days....

When my cat, Nang-Nang died. I decided to wait a while to get another cat, for Midnight's (my black cat) sake. They were very close, and Midnight was visibly lonely without her. She always wanted to be with me or my sister. She also learned a few things from Nang-Nang. She is far more vocal than ever, and hyper.

I really like the 8 week old kitten, but I can't help but notice something in Midnight. You know how cats always hate eachother right? Well what happened is when Midnight saw him, she ignored him. Went back to her food bowl. But, when she sniffed him, that when she hissed. He hissed back, but took the defensive position. But.....then Midnight ran away....when I went after her, she looked sad..........I think she was thinking about Nangy.........she was a tabby, and the new kitten is also a tabby...I can't help but think....

Yesturday I stained the rocking horse boots from Double Decker. Turned out ok.

My order from Double Decker has arrived!.....one day after they shipped it!! @_@ I knew EMS was fast, but ONE DAY?! I've ordered somethings in the past and used EMS shipping, and it never was this fast......wow Double Decker, 〜*A++*〜 for shipping!!!

Now, I have been really worried that I ordered the wrong size for sometime. My converses says my size is 24 cm, but when I measured out my own foot, it can to about 23.5 cm...the entired time I was thinking I would have to end up selling my boots! But, THEY FIT! Well, the wood soled boot is a little tight, but I would prefer this over ordeing the wrong US size. The Engineer's boots feel ok. So, I'm going to say that 23.5 cm is my actual foot size, and 24 cm is the size for having comfortable space. I have tiny feet....

When I was researching reviews on DD's shoes/boots, I expexted the worse quality for shoes. Not like the woud fall apart or anything though, but a realistic sense. Glad I see the boots now, because its cleared my exspectations. Looks like the wood sole boots is not a fake leather and the engineer's boots are leather. The wood isn't as soft as I imagined it would be. I want to seal them with varnish, but I might end up fuckin them up.

I'm definitely going to buy from them again!

My Double Decker order has been shipped! I cannot wait to get the engineer's boots and the rocking horse boots!

BUT...from what I heard, the leather is thin for their boots, and their wood soles have many issues...but I'm not caring right now! Hmm....I guess in order to really evaluate the quality is to give a review when I wear them for the first wear them (particually when I go downtown as you walk alot there) and after I've worn them for the 10th. But I'm not going to wear them every day as I don't tend to wear the same shoes/boots everyday.

But I don't think if their quality isn't the greatest of the great it will stop me from buying their shoes. I'll just have to be more careful, which ain't hard.
